Chateau Scarface’ abandoned by fraudsters has bulletproof windows and gold bathroom

An urban explorer from the Netherlands has revealed the high-class interior of an abandoned mansion believed to have been owned by a fraudster.

Youtuber  Stefanie Hofstede aka Travelling Babe NL entered the house through the unlocked front doors as two metal black knight statues stood guard and found rooms filled with expensive furnishings.

The villa, which she dubbed ‘Chateau Scarface’, is believed to be owned and funded by rich fraudsters, who were not identified by the explorer, who furnished their property with everything from bulletproof windows to golden taps.

Stefanie said: “The house where money was not a problem. Paid with money earned through fraud, and now completely abandoned.

“A safe-room, bulletproof windows and cars, 3 elevators, golden bathroom, you think about it, and this house has it.”

The room walls have already begun to crumble and the crystal chandelier in one of the many lounge areas has come down on top of a velvet pink couch.

Some areas of the carpet have started to grow mould from the dampness and neglect over the years, while others have been subjected to fire damage.

The stairs are seemingly the only area of the house left in perfect condition, painted white with a red carpet rolled down the centre fit for a movie star.

There were also makeup brushes laid out on nightstands and a pair of vintage Yves Saint Laurent shoes left in one of the bedrooms in the property.

Outside, two black Cadillacs had been left to rust and have been doused in red spray paint by vandals who have attacked the property previously.

Urbex fans were fascinated by the sight with many jumping to the comments to point out clues that may uncover the mystery of the previous occupant.

One commenter said: “I saw that there was an Arab newspaper, and if I had seen the pictures of people who lived there I might know who they were.”

Another wrote: “I noticed a photo album laying open in one bedroom, you didn’t film that or flip through the pages, why would you hesitate?”

A third said: “The age of the cars and tech stuff indicates that the place has been abandoned at least before the year 2000.

“They can be some year younger or older but my guess on the red car and the one in the search gives that they are 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood.”

A fourth added: “Certainly looks like the house of gangsters, including the vehicles! And I would beg to differ with the term “earned” through fraud, that isn’t earning.”
