After flying around the house enough, it was time to tour it. Given how dangerous the site was, we wondered if it was worth going inside. But, curiosity was the strongest, and after crossing a few brambles, we discovered what was hidden in this house: unfortunately not much, and it was rather predictable given the situation of the house… The last The occupants had obviously left for quite some time, and the elements had done their work on the roof, which no longer protects much today. In terms of history, there is unfortunately not much to say about this house. The only thing more or less interesting to say is that we find this house on a multitude of old postcards, and for good reason: as soon as a photo presents the town, the beach or the cliff, it appears, clearly in view . Revealing these postcards would compromise the (relative) confidentiality of this house, but above all I don’t want explorers to come there and have an accident because of me. This is why I will not show old postcards on this page at the moment. I would wait for the house to fall from the edge of the world. The building appears in numerous photos taken at the beginning of the 20th century, it is not surprising to find it in the aerial view from 1947 below. Interestingly enough, in this image we see the building on the right under construction. |
